Freshwater-Sydney northern beaches

A person who lives in Eastern suburbs rarely comes to the northern beaches.                                         I didn't come here for surfing yet it was excited to be in this part of Sydney.

Vientiane , cafe and massage

If you go to Vientiane,  I recommend you to go to the cafe and the massage!
Specially it is a massage heaven.  You can have any type of the massage- Full Body, Face, Oil Massage, Traditional Lao Massage ( like Thai massage ),  Expensive Facial treatment, etc...

I indulged myself in 2hours aroma oil massage, and if I have this kind of massage in Sydney, it costs at least $ 150.00.  I can have 15 times massage in Vientiane with this money. Unlike in Sydney they massage you front and back of the body and limbs, which is a total massage and I liked it.  You can leave the undies and they are all masseuse, so you won't be shy too much ( if you are woman ).

It has a Cafe Culture.  Lao coffee is amazingly good, and the Lao style coffee is tasty and inexpensive.
They serve Italian style cappucino and latte and quite sophisticated cakes and sweets.
Of course it is a tourist price but yes it relaxes me to sit down and watch the people pass by.

This restaurant was always full, this is the best food I had In Laos. Deep fried  Mekong seaweed with sesame and tomyum style prawn & vegi soup

Cross the road is Mekong River night market

Lao local food

Wondering around the tourist area day and night, I tasted local foods.  the best one was  a chicken noodle at tiny wheel stall run by a middle aged aunty nearby Mekong river night market.  I spotted it because people were queueing up to buy.  One young lady in a queue helped me to buy with a smile,
and chicken noodle was superb but very hot, it was tasty but amazingly no MSG added, though Asians can't help using MSG for every foods.

looks yummy but super yuk!

Memory of Lao - Vientian

Today I was watching the photos taken in Laos in this January.  After Sri Lanka I visited there just for
a few days.  I was just stunned..for what?...I felt I wondered into  Northern country  of somewhere....     ( though I never been there)
Don't get me wrong ... I am talking about its flatness of the atmosphere, no smiles on people's face,
and what amazed me most was that the pedestrians had a human right here!  In Asia, India or Sri Lanka
people behind the wheels never concerned about the pedestrians, they just drive as if they don't have a speed meter.
But in Vientian, things are different, Here, Car is coming ~ from far~ and still far way ..15 seconds past....still ... like that, the speed limit for vehicle is 50km, can you believe it!?!

Anyway, the statue of Buddha and the statue in the temples look bit scary, some looked like alien.
Sorry...Buddha  I am not insulting you... just little bit different from what I know...

Finally I knew that Lao people were very shy, once I get to know the person they smile back to you from the second time.

Autumn in Sydney but feel Summer really!

Summer is still hanging around Sydney, there were so many variety of people on the beach side.
Couples, family, retires but not many surfers...

The swell hit 6 ft plus and because of the rough ocean, Bronte pool was even closed.

Not only a beach activity today, there was a wedding ceremony at Franciscan church near by.
