Getting closer to Red Centre

Flying over Terra Australis never gets me bored.  We just admire the creature of this planet.

The pattern of the earth reminds me of an Aboriginal painting or the genius work by God hands.

Few things make you cool in Cairns

Sticky and hot, of course the climate is tropical in Cairns.

So there are few things which make you cool.

Skyrail rainforest cableway is definitely make you chilly.  If you are acrophobia, you have to

put up with 7.5km journey and highest tower of 40.5m , so  not recommended for acrophobia.

The view of rain forests and Barron river is magnificent.

This Barron river was taken from a view point at Kuranda Rail

Aboriginal dancers were cool, Yeah!!

You know what?   Because of the mud bottom, you cannot swim and play on the shore.
But they have a manmade beach and a pool in the town!

Great Barrier Reef is located outer ocean.  You can enjoy Semi-submarine in Green island

if not for snorkelling.

Ice cream is the best to cool me down, this colour is from dragon fruit and other ingredients are

apple and banana.  It sounds bit strange and the taste was bit strange, too.

Bunny Bunny Pigs Bum & Red Lunar eclipse

Today at 5:49pm eastern Australian time, we will be able to see a moon eclipse, which will turn

the moon into a reddish colour.   Why red colour?  The sun , the earth and the moon lines up and at the

sunset when the moon rises.

We had this red moon a few years ago, and the energy from the moon was so powerful

and kind of no good energy they say.  I was watching at the very red moon for a while

and I felt sick as if my whole energy was taking away.   Unfortunately the weather is not looking good

so we won't have a view of this red moon this evening.

Easter is coming !  hop hop hop!   Bunnies are everywhere!!

Spanish food in Sydney -MOVIDA

As  if we had a farewell celebration for the end of daylight saving,  we indulged the last day

at Movida Spanish Tapas Bar.  This modern Spanish cuisine was totally enjoyable,

and I did enjoy to pay a bill (shared with my friend) because I wasn't worried about how much it cost.

Simply I wanted to have a fun time celebration.

                                           Goat curd and quince cigar

Artisan Cantabrian anchovy with Smoked tomato Sorbet

--Spread across Sorbe onto a cracker..so delicate...

Sweetcorn Gzpacho serves with Alaskan snow crab & macadamias

Seafood salad of crab, crystal bay prawn, mackerel finished with Ajo Blanco

What is more?, yes Iberico Jamon croquetas,  and the desert, I had Almond Fondant with Fig leaf ice

cream.   My friend had churros with hot chocolate.  Sorry no photos of those!

Rozan Japanese restaurant, cozy, reasonable , delicious and lots of originality

Last December, My favourite Japanese restaurant Uchi closed and I was kind of devastated like a child

lost her fav.pet cat.

But here comes very nice and unique restaurant in Palmer st, Darlinghurst , Sydney.

Crispy prawn salad

sayori (halfbeak) sashimi
peking duck Roza style

ikameshi( rice stuffed in squid)
Tako ponzu( Octopus with citrus based vinegar&soy sauce)

prawn shumai (specil shimai using Prawn heads for the colouring and the stock to make dumpling)
Octopus was so tender.  We didn't need to spend time for chewing.

Three of us paid just under $100 for the food, good value isn't it?

Nasu dengaku(eggplant) , one of the best dengaku I had..it is soft enough to melt in your mouth.

Tropical shower in Autumn March in Sydney

This March is more like a summer than Feb.

Most afternoon a big shower hits the town.

A friend in Kuala Lumpur said , there are hardly any rain day after day in KL.

And recently they had rain,   rain  ..yes but did feel like an artificial rain according to the friend.

What kind of chemical was used  in that rain, I wonder.

Sydney Ramen War

I love eating Ramen in a hot summer time and a cold winter season.

Ramen is a hot favourite Japanese noodle soup here in Sydney, too.

In last 2,3 years several new ramen shop opened, and Ramena war has begun!

Yes! we talk about it among friends which Ramen shops better.

I went to Manpuku located far outside of CBD, and I had Torigara Shoyu Ramen ( chicken stock soysauce Ramen).

Tonkotsu (Pork bone stock) Ramen is very popular at the moment but I love the traditional basic

Ramen.  Manpuku Ramen made me comfortably full ( means manpuku ) , surely it was good!
