Hop in ! Weekends Markets

It is fun to go to local markets because I feel like doing a treasure hunting.  A treasure not costing as gold or diamond but something unique with reasonable price.

A morning view from Sydney-Manly ferry

30minurs ride between Sydney and Manly.  In the early morning from Jetty 3, there were hardly anyone
in a ferry so it was very relaxing and feel refreshing for a work.  The ocean was so calm just reflecting the morning sun on the surface.

Japanese delicacy

Generally Japanese has a reputation of being shy.  In a good way we'd say we have delicacy.
Look at things we make and produce in Japan, specially in our culinary culture we show it beautifully.

This packet of rice crackers , three dried vegetables -Shiitake mushroom , Common bean and Sweet potato and also crackers contain some vegetable essences.

It i so delicate and tastes delicious.

Sydney after a record rain

On 8th Mar,Sydney CBD had 126mm of rain fall and total rain fall in 24 hours  was equivalent to
47,400 Olympic pools, 3.16billion cans of beer, 1/5th of Sydney Harbour.
This is Sydney Harbour, can you imagine the rain fall??!!!

Since that drenching rain, the sun shines and the temperature has risen....we have a beautiful weather.

trip to NORTH-chasing the surf and the summer North NSW & QLD9 8

We didn't spend time at Gold Coast but over looked its buildings from Coolangatta.
Rain and tiny surf put us off from outdoor activities,  we spent most time at s surfing museum where
exhibit a history of Australian surfing and surf boards and we watched number of surf DVDs.

This finger lime is an Aussie bush tucker(food).. Inside it has caviar like fruits.
Its taste is  like a normal lime and tangy but little bit milder.  This shop sells $1.00 for 5.

Green tree frog lives in this pie shop near mullumbimby. A female frog grows bigger than a male.
They have the habit of hiding under the rim of outback toilet bowls!  So you watch not pissing on them!

Yamba

They say " the best burger shop in the town "--this is the only one burger shop-

Fish burger-- it was delicious , filled me up

Sweet vintage

We found the biggest wave at Yamba, 0-1ft.   There were some surfable  wave, and the blue sky and the beautiful ocean motivated us to paddled out.   As soon as we paddled in, " COLD!!!!!", Takky screamed.

If there are no surf, we just go for an option.  Eating the primary option, if with girls, cruising around the
shops are the second, and that is it!
Unlike other sports, we are with the nature's force.  That is why surfing is different.

Iluka is a small town 18km off Pacific highway.  My favourite beach town for surfing, the beach needs
NE or SE of over 2m swell.  Once I had a magnificent surfing here with dolphins.

Such a small town but it is cozy to walk around and has kind of everything---bakery, funky shop( clothes, lamps, spiritual goods, cards and ceramics ),hair dresser (as you see above)
, caravan park, boat harbour, fish market, fruit shop, cafe, hand-made shop owns by the elderly community, etc.....

Iluka sounds a bit unusual, for a Japanese specially, I guess.  If you pronounce this i-lu-ka not ailuka
,it means Dolphin in Japanese!
